The Saint John Vito’s Major Midget AAA hockey franchise is pleased to announce the return of its entire Team Staff for the 2018-2019 season. The team will be led once again by NHL veteran Randy Jones, who served as Head Coach in 2017-2018 and was an Assistant Coach with the Vito’s in their national silver medal year of 2016. Jones will be rejoined by assistant coaches Moe Arseneault, Mark MacDonnell, Tim Jones, Todd Baird and Maryelle Hannam, trainer Colin Mackenney, game day manager Frank Bordage and communications manager Linda Anderson.
Although Jones is currently out of the province and unavailable for comment, Arseneault indicated that the Vito’s organization is returning to take care of unfinished business. “As a group, we feel strongly that southern New Brunswick deserves to win the Telus Cup. Our community is the only place in Canada to have won the Calder Cup, the Memorial Cup, the Allan Cup and the Hardy Cup, and we want to add the Telus Cup to that list. We believe that this region has the talent to achieve the goal and, if we work together, we will succeed.”
The Vito’s program will announce its spring events in the upcoming weeks on its website: www.sjvitosmidgetaaa.com
